We’re here to make food you love, the kind you talk about and look forward to eating. The Clover Food Truck is going to be serving up a new type of fast food. This food is local, it’s just-cut, when we can it will be organic.
We’re going to be opening fast food restaurants soon. I always loved the food trucks at MIT when I was a student. September 2008 I thought: what better way to kick things off pre-restaurant than with a truck of our own. A bunch of things fell into place and here we are.
The menu will be changing with the seasons, and we’ll keep the latest posted on this site. You can expect french fries made from just-cut PEI potatoes, fresh juices like you’ve never had before, perfect sandwiches, and we’ll be ladling out just-made soups in the winter, salads in the summer.
So keep an eye on this site to follow the journey.
Ayr (course 3, ‘00) and Rolando (our chef)

Excellent. I can’t wait to try out this truck. Regarding the coffee, have you ever thought of using cafetieres? (e.g. http://site.noticiaproibida.org/fotos/Image/mokaexp6_g.jpg ) These are used commonly in some European countries, where you will rarely get a mug of coffee.
I would love to see a restaurant/food-truck use them because they make excellent espresso with a very simple device.

If you would more business, please list your location prominently and visible on http://www.cloverfoodlab.com. Not in some ridiculous tweet. I don’t want to subscribe to tweety jabber, I just want a good lunch.

I work for the Graduate School of Design and we are hosting a conference called Ecological Urbanism this weekend. On Friday April 3rd we have about an hour, from 5:30-6:30 where we want to do a snack break and would love to have you come for that hour to give conference participants a chance to purchase your delicious goods! What you are doing is really in line with discussions we are going to be having throughout the conference. Is this possible? Please be in touch.
Thanks.

Oh my lord I am so happy I found you guys. Thanks for the excellent BBQ Seitan sandwich! And the lavender lemonade is sooooo good. Wow. Will be back soon, will tell everyone about you. Been a long time since I have had such a satisfying lunch experience here at MIT.

Loved the chickpea fritter sandwich, especially the slightly pickled onion flavor! The pit was really fresh and crispy too. How about an Indian style veg pakora sandwich wrapped in nan? Actually, anything wrapped in nan would be excellent

Came across your webpage – great concept. I hope that I am in the area so I can try your food. I am starting a new business selling at farmers markets and want to thank you for your page, because it has inspired me to create my own website using wordpress rather than spending thousands of dollars – this is exactly what I want in a website – best of luck.

Ayr,
Congratulations on being featured in today’s Boston Globe. The egg/eggplant sandwich is always my favorite. You are the best!

I too have always had an interest in the food trucks and think that they are a great way to escape the conundrum of the same ol restaurants in the area. I am excited that you are going to launch a restaurant and would like to talk to you about ways that you can really get your name out to the Boston public. Please email me back and we can chit chat about this a little more!! And I am excited about this addition to the Boston community for sure!!

Just walked back from the truck with my eggplant and egg sandwich. (wish I got some fries, maybe tomorrow.) It’s awesome! I would love it if you would let us know what’s organic on the menu since I try to keep as organic as I can. Organic and local is sublime!

I love your sandwiches, they are fantastic! Can you please provide the nutritional info for them? I could not find this info on your site. I would gladly eat 5 days a week at Clover if my diet allows.

WHERE?
Hey guys: it’d be a really great idea to put the LOCATION of your truck on your front page, or even on this page. I had to scour chowhound to figure out where y’all are. Seriously.

I often purchase a sandwich, and sometimes also purchase fries. At $3, I often go without, trying to maintain my budget.
I was wondering if you might consider a small/large fries option. they are really good, but sometimes, I’m looking for a bit extra, but don’t want to pay for a large order (or ingest a large order!).
I think I would order fries much more often if there was such an option.
Thanks, and keep up the good work.

Hey! Love the new salads (especially the cucumber and tomato). Are these only going to be able as a side portion or are you guys considering full entree sizes. It would be a great addition especially during the summer.

Where can we find the truck?
Would be great if there were a page for ‘current truck location’ so a first-time visitor (or regulars) can find you. Even a pointer to typical/expected locations would be helpful, if you don’t know exactly where you’ll be able to park.
Thanks!

Hi Clover!
I love your wonderful truck! I added you to Veg Guide and Happy Cow.
A suggestion-adding vegan pancakes or french toast to your brunch menu….I know a ton of people who would be heading to Clover on Sundays for vegan brunch!

I’m trying to get in contact with you – would you like to have your food truck at a really creative charity event that will be at City Hall Plaza?! It is called the Boston Monster March. If you see this, please let me know and we’ll discuss.

Hey Clover,
I’ve been following your blog from afar (Philadelphia) because a friend in Boston told me I had to get on top of it. I’m also starting a food truck on Penn’s campus and have been gathering incredible insights from you guys. I’m really interested in your iPhone POS, is that something you’re building for your own exclusive use or trying to make it a platform that other trucks could license from you? We are debating whether we want a POS from the start and your system looks like it could be a great first step into tracking the kind of data we’re interested in. Let me know if there is some way I could be in touch with you to talk about this and other general truck concerns.
I love your blog and will definitely come visit next time I’m in Boston!
Best,
-Jeff

Great to see so many new Food Trucks. I’m thinking about building a new site where you can review Food Trucks. What do you think?

Hello. This message is for Ayr. This is Ashley Karr. We met in Ventura when you were working at Patagonia. I remember meeting your wife and seeing her beautiful illustrations. I had dinner at your apartment up on the hill. I helped you guys with your marketing survey. I went to UCLA. If you don’t remember me, don’t worry. So, weird thing. I am getting my MS in Human Factors and Systems right now at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. I am applying for an internship at IDEO this summer, was reading one of their postings, and it mentioned you and Clover Food Lab!!! No way, man. Made my day…this and the fact that one of my students in my Yoga class was able to touch his toes today for the first time since he was a baby. He’s 30. Good day. Good day.
Congrats on your business. Keep in touch.
Lots of Love,
Ashley

Hi there – so where are you guys parked? I am about to start working in Kendall Square and would like something to look forward to other than a ridiculous commute.
Can you post your coordinates? Thanks.

Best. Food. Ever. Everything I’ve had so far is delicious, and the prices are awesome. As a vegetarian, your truck is heaven sent, and I am currently addicted to the breakfast sandwiches. Delicious.
