We got some new Aeropress-makers in. These have cool retail packaging. All the managers are getting these as gifts today. We’re excited to hear how they’ll experiment with them over the holidays. You can buy one too.
Ayr’s sister told us about the Aeropress a while ago, I think she’s secretly disappointed we don’t use it at Clover. Have any of you used it?
I’ve been using mine at home to make espresso, ever since I got back from Italy addicted to espresso. I think it’s awesome. All you need is hot water and ground coffee. You don’t need a stovetop. You don’t need to plug it in. You do need a sturdy mug. The plunging action literally destroys our Clover hot cups.

I do have one of these and I use it from time to time. I don’t use it as instructed, as it calls for a lot of coffee to get a cup. Instead I use a slightly coarser grind and use it as a combo French Press/Pressure Extraction.
I’ll fill it with hot water, mix and wait 4 minutes before flipping it and pressing it. It works pretty good, but I’ve been enjoying my pour over setup and French Press as of late.
