Introducing Clover PRK

20120420-082102.jpg

Yesterday we launched Clover PRK. We are open 7 days/ week, 7am – 7pm. The site is right near the MBTA stop on the Boston Common. I can’t tell you how excited we are about this location. We’ve been working on this for almost 3 years. It felt so great to be out.

Julie is running the truck. Say hi when you stop by. I think the truck looks amazing in this site. What do you think? And the customers have been fantastic so far. Thanks Boston!

“The site is right near the MBTA stop on the Boston Common.”
Which one? I’m assuming from the picture that you mean Park Street.

Went to the Gov Center truck for lunch today. Was happy I did not have to hump to South Station today. When I got there I was little shocked, 7 dollars for the sandwiches? It is only 2 dollars but a 40% increase in price.

Was told this was for testing prices for feedback. Here is some, love the sandwich, but not at that price. Did not get the sandwich either and wont at 7.

I had the same reaction that John did. I was really psyched to see Clover back at Gov Center and have gotten breakfast there the past two weeks.

The $7 sandwich price point rankles both because I know that it’s cheaper at Clover elsewhere and also because it no longer feels competitively priced relative to nearby falafel alternatives. My sense is that a price test will work a lot better with customers who are not already familiar wite Clover – you’ll probably get more useful feedback from those who haven’t anchored on the existing prices.

I agree with John. $7 is too much. $5 was perfect. I’ve gone to BBQ smith for their vege tacos at $3 each.
