High and Mighty Beer

By ayr June 30, 2011

This was my introduction to High and Mighty Beer. A warehouse in transition. To set the scene, this is in East Hampton, the shabbier cousin of Northampton, not too far from where I grew up.

The best I know how to describe High and Mighty is that they are a working man’s craft beer. They’re aiming for accessibility with tons of taste. It’s an offshoot of the Shelton Brother’s, importers who have re-defined the craft beer market over the past 5 years or so. High and Mighty has a heavy European influence. And they’re really into low alcohol beers.

That’s all I know. I’ll admit¬†I haven’t ever had a good version of their flagship: Beer of the Gods. I think it’s because the ones I got as samples and the ones I bought at the store were not too fresh. I guessing that because they didn’t taste great yet many people I respect keep raving about their beer. And I’ve enjoyed the two headed beast.

So I can’t wait to try something that is super fresh. These guys use the same brewery as our friends at Pretty Things. They have a new Saison they just put up and we’re waiting for it to get ready. Soon it’ll come through the doors to Clover. We can’t wait.
