Autocorrecting names

By Lucia April 25, 2012

We ask for everyone’s names when they order. Some people are wary, they think we’re saving their names in some giant system or something. Really it’s just so we learn your name and get to know you.

But sometimes the iPod autocorrect feature gets in the way of that. Worst one was when it corrected Margaret to Maggot. Best one was when it corrected Sandeep to Samurai.

This is Vinay, the most recent victim. His name got autocorrected to Binary. Randall was taking orders. He asked Vinay if he happened to be a computer programmer. And he was!
