For one week, Clover is a maple sugar shack every day at 3pm
A magical thing happens in March when temperatures are below freezing at night and above freezing during the day. Maple syrup starts to flow. And farms turn into makeshift restaurants. I was in Northampton last weekend visiting the farmers of our CSA program, and Ayr said I had to go to South Face Farm and eat a sugar shack brunch.
The sugar house had 3 rooms: a boiling room, a kitchen, and a dining room. The food was awesome. Blueberry pancakes, thin crispy waffles, donuts. A plate of pickles to cut the sweetness of the maple. The best part were the corn fritters, 4 for $6. Super filling and yummy.
We’re going to be celebrating maple season with a week of corn fritters every afternoon at 3pm. Come by in the afternoon for corn fritters and maple syrup. We’ll start serving at 3pm until they run out.
