The Clover Christmas Box is on sale now!! 🎄
Our Christmas Boxes are on sale! This year we’re going all out, with a quartet of offerings, including a giant box full of festive meals, a cheese board, cookies and milk for Santa, and a holiday breakfast box. If our waitlist presale was any indication (150 of you have already signed up), these boxes are likely to go as fast as a sleigh shooting across the midnight sky. Blink and you’ll miss it. The deadline to order a box is December 16.
Our Christmas box is designed to feed you and keep you properly festive throughout a week with different meals/snacks/desserts. Or lay everything out together on a holiday table for one big feast. So what would we serve if we had all of you over for Christmas dinner?
The Clover Christmas Box Menu
🎄 DECK THE HALLS
Mini evergreen and dried flower bouquet from Many Graces Farm in Hadley, lovingly put together by farmer/owner Rebecca Maillet.
🎄 SANTA SAYS SNACKING IS ALLOWED
Everything you need to make a cocktail hour snack board. Add a Cheese Board (sold separately) for a complete set.
- Spiced nuts
- Silky hummus
- Pita bread
- Raw local vegetables for dipping
🎄 RICHARD BOURDON BREAD
Yess! THE Richard Bourdon is going to bake bread for your holiday table! And Chris designed the most festive spreadable compound butter to compliment your Berkshire Mountain Bakery loaf.

- House-made compound butter with honey, orange, and Aleppo pepper
🎄LET IT SNOW, WE’VE GOT STEW
Hearty winter stew with local roots dug up by Michael Docter on the frostbitten fields in Hadley, MA.
- Winter stew featuring Winter Moon Farm root veggies
- Pecorino cheese (garnish)
- Toasted pita points (garnish)
🎄 BUON NATALE
Chris married into an Italian family, where meatballs in marinara are a Christmas Eve tradition. Pair them with warmed Italian lentils for a perfect Italian-inspired starter to your meal.
- Heat-and-eat Impossible meatballs in house-made tomato sauce
- Heat-and-eat Italian lentils
🎄 CENTERPIECE #1: BRUSSELS SANTA-KOPITA
Ask Ayr about Christmas as a kid, and and he’ll tell you about his dad’s “Santa”kopita, a classic Greek feta casserole which magically appeared with a Santa on top every December 25. Chris’s version swaps the spinach for beautiful local brussels, blanketed by feta cheese.
- Creamy heat-and-eat casserole with local brussels sprouts, feta cheese, roasted veggies, and lots of fresh herbs
🎄 CENTERPIECE #2 – ACORN SQUASH
The most popular item from our Thanksgiving box gets a reprise for Christmas dinner. “Is this the turkey?” one of our customers asked. It may be better. Carve it, roast it, top it with a mapley-crust and maple sriracha butter sauce; this is the only dish in the lineup that requires a bit of prep work (we’ll show you how).
- Whole acorn squash
- Oat crumb topping
- Maple-sriracha butter sauce
🎄 CENTERPIECE #3 – SHEPHERD’S PIE
A comforting vehicle for Western Mass winter produce.
- Heat-and-eat shepherd’s pie featuring beluga lentils and Winter Moon Farm root veg simmered in sauce, covered with mashed potatoes and Grafton cheddar cheese
🎄 HEARTY SALAD COURSE – Red and Green Chicory Salad
It’s traditional to close a meal with something a little bit bitter to aid in digestion. Our friends Tim and Caroline of Kitchen Garden Farm grew the most delicious chicory (green) and radicchio (magenta). We’re pairing these gorgeous greens with hazelnuts and provolone cheese, and topping with a festive white-wine and dijon vinaigrette.
- Salad (just dress and serve)
- White wine dijon vinaigrette
DESSERT – Banoffee Pie
Banoffee pie is a classic English dessert; one might imagine Ebenezer Scrooge bestowing one on Bob Cratchit’s family (after that last ghost convinces Scrooge to be a good guy). This toffee and banana cream pie is baked by our friends at Café Beatrice right here in Cambridge.
– A whole pie!
Add: Milk and Cookies for Santa
Dr. Fauci says Santa has immunity, so clean out your chimney and slice and bake three generous rolls of cookies (be sure to try them yourself too, for quality control of course). Then fill a cup with Oatly and set out a few Winter Moon Roots rainbow carrots for Rudolph. Don’t forget to write something for Santa on the card, illustrated just for Clover by renowned children’s book illustrator Jane Dyer.
Add: New England Cheese Board
With our rocky soil perfect for grazing, New England has long been known for dairying. Today, some of the finest cheesemaking in the world occurs right in our backyard. Celebrate their hard work and expertise with this 4-cheese tasting, plus the perfect accompaniments, assembled by our friends across the street at Puritan & Co in Cambridge. Enough for up to 4 people to snack on, and only available for the week of Christmas. (Please note – the New England Cheese Board box is not kosher.)
Add: Holiday Breakfast Box
Christmas morning is for presents, whether over FaceTime or in person, not worrying about what’s for breakfast. This box of Christmas morning treats, sourced from our favorite local bakers, millers, roasters, and chocolatiers, has enough for up to 4 people to enjoy.
How big is this? Our boxes range from 2-10 people (and the 2-person box also works well for one person; it’ll just take a little longer to work through). And like all our boxes, they’re engineered to get money to our hardworking millers, bakers, farmers, and cheesemakers.
Gifting a Box? If you’d like to send a box as a gift, just proceed as normal, entering your giftee’s address instead of your own. As long as they’re in our sleigh’s delivery radius (a 30 mile circle around the HUB), you’ll be all set.
Remember to order a box by December 16 (or earlier – our holiday boxes have been selling quick!) if you want in on the Christmas menu!
Beautiful materials make beautiful food even more beautiful!
