Reading the following posts is a part of our core training.
Great things are not achieved in bad ways. The values that guide us are as important as the purpose we set for our actions. These aren’t just aspirations for Clover, these are the guardrails for our actions.
We have 3 core values:
- The value of Transparency
- The value of Equality of Opportunity
- The value of “Everything Will Be Different Tomorrow”
We will bring transparency to everything we can. We don’t think people should have to wonder what is in their food or question how it is made. And we think that everybody who is part of building something great should get a chance to see that thing evolve. This is why we have no “back of house” at Clover. This is why my office has glass walls. This is why we talk openly about our shortcomings and mistakes. If you’ve joined Clover you’ve been invited you to be part of this open and transparent culture.
We believe in equality of opportunity. Regardless of your experience, your age, your race, your sexual orientation, your background, we want to make the full range of opportunity at Clover open to you. This is a place where all types of people should feel welcome and be supported to do great things. This means you will find managers at Clover who started at minimum wage with no restaurant experience. I love knowing people who are nothing like I am. If you’ve joined us at Clover we’re asking you to take joy in people’s differences as well.
I wrote “Everything Will Be Different Tomorrow” on the side of the MIT truck in the first days. This is a statement about potential. If you’ve joined Clover you’re working with us each day to create a better tomorrow. The things that seem permanent and immobile, they’re not. Problems can be solved. We can work together to shape tomorrow and make it better than today.
Welcome to Clover.
