Delivered weekly on Wednesdays from June to October. (20 weeks)
What is an example of an average share?
- Small veggie share is 1/2 bushel of organic produce once a week for 20 weeks. Size and variety ranges throughout, but an August example would be 5 tomatoes, 2 bell peppers, 2 eggplants, 1 lbs carrots or potatoes, 3 ears sweet corn, 1 head lettuce, 1 bunch fresh herbs, 3 hot peppers
- Large veggie share is 1 bushel of organic produce once a week for 20 weeks. An August example would be 10 tomatoes, 4 bell peppers, 4 eggplants, 2 lbs carrots or potatoes, 6 ears sweet corn, 2 heads lettuce, 2 bunches fresh herbs, 6 hot peppers
- Optional fruit add-on. Same schedule as veggies. Full range of fruits grown in MA. Berries, tree fruits, and some lesser known stuff. Organic when possible, but often conventionally grown by small neighboring farms.
All veggies are organic and grown by Stone Soup Farm. Fruit is sometimes organic, sometimes conventional (due to limited availability) and grown by small neighboring farms.
What is your favorite summer items? What do you like to cook with?
“My favorite is tomatoes! We have many different varieties of red slicers and multi-colored heirlooms. Simple marinara sauce with fresh tomatoes, fresh oregano, fresh onions, fresh garlic, salt, olive oil, and fresh-made pasta is my favorite food!” David DiLorenzo from Stone Soup Farm.
