MONDAYS: Siena Farms – Sudbury, MA (changed to THURSDAYS)

By Fabricio Dias February 25, 2020

Delivery day: Mondays!

I knew that Siena Farms were connected with Oleana and Sofra restaurants. But I didn’t realize just how amazing their produce was until Lynn, one of our Area Managers, got a CSA from them and kept posting beautiful pictures of fairytale eggplants and heirloom tomatoes. Siena is in its 15th year of operation, cultivating 50 acres of protected farmland in Sudbury and Concord, MA — just 25 miles west of Boston.

  • Full share ($750)
  • Flexible share ($375)

From the Farm

We grow over 100 varieties of vegetables for our year-round CSA, our farmstores in the Boston Public Market and Boston’s South End, our stall at the Copley Square Farmers’ Market, and select restaurants and chefs. We enhance our fields’ soil fertility by using natural composts, cover crops, and mineral amendments. We have chosen to forgo the USDA’s organic certification process but invite you to trust us, your farmers, that we grow our produce using ecologically and socially responsible methods, on par with current organic standards.

—Rachel, Farm Coordinator

What is an example of an average share?

Each veggie share is a half-bushel box weighing between 10-20 lbs and containing all sorts of summer vegetables, from baby arugula to fresh-dug potatoes to vine-ripened tomatoes depending on the season!

What is your favorite summer item? What do you like to cook with?

“Recently loving celeriac! So yummy in soup with turnips & potatoes. Immersion blender is your best friend.”

—Rachel, Farm Coordinator

The week of June 8th through the week of August 24th.

  • Full share members receive 12 weeks of produce, delivered once a week on Mondays.
