24 hours to sign up for your farmshare

Tomorrow (May 31) at midnight is the deadline to sign up for a farmshare with pickups at Clover. Unlike meal delivery services or farmer’s markets, farmshares directly support farmers (like Dave Jackson in the picture above) with a commitment of money at the beginning of the season that they need to buy seeds, grow food, and hire people. If you join a farmshare, you get a box of produce, picked hours ago, straight from a single farm. Ever since 2011 Clover has been offering our restaurants as pickup points for farmshares, and this year, our 6 participating farms are close to selling out their shares!

Tender now on the menu

About a year and a half ago, at an open-to-the-public food development meeting at Clover, we blind taste-tested a new plant-based pulled pork. This wasn’t a totally new thing for us to do—as a company with a climate mission, we tend to get a lot of samples of plant-based everything, and we love trying all of them. We’ve tried mycelium-based mushroom meats, wheat-and-soy nuggets, and burgers made from kelp. One bite in, and it was clear this pulled pork was special.

Squeaky paneer, mint cilantro chutney, chaat, and our first-ever collab with a local chef. Remember when Pushpir came into the kitchen and schooled us on Northern Indian food? That was 2013.
