The shipment of Paw Paw doesn’t even fit in one picture! Chris just told us 2019 will go down in history as a banner year for paw paw in Massachusetts, which makes us happy because usually it’s a very short-lived treat.
If you haven’t gotten a chance to taste this alien-looking (yet entirely local) fruit, get over to your nearest Clover over the next two weeks. We’ll continue to make paw paw soda and open up fruit so you can taste the custardy interior.* If you want to take home seeds, ask us that too. We’ve been hearing reports of customers who have taken seeds home from Clover during previous years and are now growing paw paw in their backyards.
*Except at HSC. Laura, our amazing Store Communications Lead at Harvard Science Center, has given out something like half the total tastes of paw paw in the entire company. We are going to let her rest now.
