We are bringing back one of our most popular sandwiches: the Blue Oyster Mushroom. This sandwich features mushrooms grown at Rhode Island Mushroom Company.
Mike Hallock, the grower, will be joining us for lunch on Friday at HSQ, so if you are mushroom-obsessed, head over to HSQ 12-2 this Friday to meet the man himself. He’ll be able to tell you all about the process of growing mushrooms.
The sandwich has a tarragon miso spread, buttermilk-battered blue oyster mushrooms, kale lightly dressed with lemon juice, and tomatoes from Backyard Farms in Maine.
UPDATE: We will also be testing a BRAND NEW mushroom sandwich that day at Harvard Square. This is the one we blogged about a few weeks ago. It has Grafton truffle cheddar, scallion mayo, Jerusalem artichokes, maiitake and shiitake mushrooms, and arugula.
