We had a fun coffee and donuts event at the restaurant yesterday. Heck came down from Barrington Roasters in Western Mass.
It’s always fun to see Heck. He stands in front of a roaster for 7 hours most days. And he’s really excited about coffee. He brought us coffee from Indonesia. Sort of smelled like wine to me. We killed an entire bag of the stuff within an hour. The point of the event was to get folks thinking about pouring their own coffee at home.
I got to hear a lot of stories about how you guys do coffee at home. Some of you use drip machines, some use a French press, a bunch of you have the cheap plastic cones w/filters we use. One customer makes “cowboy coffee” – mixing up grounds with boiling water, then pouring off the liquid to drink. All really fun ways of making coffee.
Come by today 9am-10:30am, we’ll have Jake from Counter Culture by for another coffee and donuts event. He’s a regular customer and his days are filled with coffee. Come ask him questions, learn to pour your own cup, and eat a cider donut. Today, 9am-10:30am.
