We were working breakfast at the Longwood Medical truck last week. It was really quiet. We looked up, and all of a sudden, there was a herd of people. Apparently there was a fire drill at the Life Science Center, the building near our truck, and everybody on one floor came to Clover. I think I poured 20 coffees in 15 minutes.

Sara, Megan and I were excited. Ayr accused me of going around pulling fire alarms. Trust me, I had nothing to do with this.

But it’s sort of fun, right, I mean fire drills are the only time everyone in the building is outside together. And strange as it sounds, we are gaining a following for serving people during fire drills – yesterday at MIT, our regular customers at the Cambridge Innovation Center asked us to make a ton of muffins, popovers, cider donuts, and hot drinks for their fire drill yesterday, so we were up at 6am making donuts.
