If you haven’t tried one of our Meal Boxes yet, you might want to look at the menu for next week. We got our hands on a super limited crop of green garlic from Red Fire Farm in Granby, MA and so we decided to see if we could incorporate it into every single different type of box (yes..even the pancake box, but it’s probably not what you think).
Green garlic is the first stage of garlic – basically the white, firm bulb with greens shooting out of it through the soil. Some people call it baby garlic : )
It’s a bit sweeter and more mild than the cured garlic you might be used to, and it’s also a bit more versatile. I like to make a pesto out of it. You’ll see it used multiple different ways if you try a box. Just sign up by Thursday (tomorrow) at 5pm.
