Some of you know Steve. He’s become a Clover legend over the years, mentioned in training materials and in hushed, reverential tones by Rob who manages Clover Burlington. Steve discovered us when we opened Burlington in 2013, and he started eating Clover for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Like, legit, every meal of the day. He has diabetes and at his next appointment, his doctor was stunned. He asked him: what did you change? Are you taking some kind of new medicine? And Steve said: “I discovered a new restaurant.”
Now he no longer has to take insulin, he attributes it so his change in diet, and even offered to stand outside his clinic in Longwood handing out samples of Clover food : )
The other day we took a field trip to Autumn Hills Orchard in Groton. Ann Harris, the farmer, took us on a tour and we got to pick apples. And when we were high up on the hill, we saw a familiar face.
Since I last saw Steve, he’s gotten really into food and farming. And he’s gotten two jobs on farms, one of which is Autumn Hills. If you want to taste the fruits of Ann’s (and Steve’s) labor, join us next week for Apple tasting events.[add_single_eventon id=”24019″ show_excerpt=”no” show_exp_evc=”no” ][add_single_eventon id=”24031″ show_excerpt=”no” show_exp_evc=”no” ]
