For the past month, I’ve been working in an unlit room using a hook tool.
I’ve been printing vinyl letters using a special vinyl printer. When the vinyl sheet comes out of the printer, I use a hook to carefully peel away the negative space to reveal the positive space. Then I stick contact paper on top to make a giant sticker. It’s sort of tedious work, especially in the dark (our workshop is an empty room with no lighting).
But you can see the results at Harvard Square (big A-frame), MIT (A-frames, side of the truck), and Park Street (A-frames, side of the truck, back of the truck). I think they’re looking really good. We’re working to roll out the new logos to all locations by the end of the month.
