This is Julie. Julie and her brother Mark worked for us at the same time last summer. Mark always wore his Clover hat with the brim extremely flipped up. He figured out how to make it so that it would not budge. Chris tried to make him shove it down one time, but it wouldn’t move. It was his trademark. I even heard that he was wearing it long after he had left Clover.

Julie is now running 2 trucks. Mark’s about to leave the country to cook in Africa. So before he left, he wanted to give Julie something really special. Julie was wearing it the other night when we went for staff drinks. She said that when she tried to push the rim down it shuddered and wouldn’t budge.

Tender now on the menu

About a year and a half ago, at an open-to-the-public food development meeting at Clover, we blind taste-tested a new plant-based pulled pork. This wasn’t a totally new thing for us to do—as a company with a climate mission, we tend to get a lot of samples of plant-based everything, and we love trying all of them. We’ve tried mycelium-based mushroom meats, wheat-and-soy nuggets, and burgers made from kelp. One bite in, and it was clear this pulled pork was special.

Squeaky paneer, mint cilantro chutney, chaat, and our first-ever collab with a local chef. Remember when Pushpir came into the kitchen and schooled us on Northern Indian food? That was 2013.
