This is our second year making this box. It was one of the most popular things we did in all of 2020. It was a team effort, with everyone throwing in ideas for their favorite party food (I told Chris we should do a Clovery take on fondue; the cheesy brussels dip was born). Bartender extraordinaire Jared Sadoian came by with some cocktail mixers, Richard Bourdon made pizza for us.
We’re excited to bring this menu back with some new additions by our new Executive Chef Jason Bond (new this year: Hoppin’ John, cornbread, and collards to eat on New Years Day plus midnight nachos that taste pretty darn good after a little bubbly).

The next day warm up a hearty bowl of Hoppin’ John. This bean-and-rice pilaf is an homage to a Southern stew with roots in West Africa, and it’s extra lucky when eaten on the first day of the year. We’re using local Baer’s beans grown by our friend Charley. Eat it with collards and cornbread (also included) for a guaranteed lucky start to the New Year.
