This picture was from that really hot week 2 weeks ago. Halfway though lunch, one of the Square units broke. So we were pretty much down to one order-taker. I was running up and down the line giving out brown sugar lemonade samples and apologizing for the line. Tuttle, regular customer who works at Google, spoke up, “Would an extra Square reader speed things up?”
The answer was yes. He donated his Square reader to Clover for the next 2 hours. A few minutes later, we were back in business with 2 working order-takers. If any of you waited in a shorter line, you can thank Tuttle for that. We’ll try to make sure we’re better prepared next time.
