Need a CSA friend?

Meet Avery and Julia. They got to know each other working the lunch rush at the Clover HUB. They’re excited because they’re about to eat whoopie pies, but also because they just signed up to split a CSA at Clover. We’ve been really excited to see how many of our staff are signing up to share CSAs.

If you want to sign up for a CSA, come by the HUB tomorrow night. We’re having a party, open to all, with all the participating farms. Sign-ups will be happening. We’ll even have a sign-up sheet for anyone looking for a friend to split their CSA with.

Last minute detail: the farmers are bringing vegetables, and we’re going to use them to make snacks during the party. We’re thinking fried onion rings and crudite. We’re also thinking about some very appropriate whoopie pies (ask Ayr what he’s planning, or check the twitter tomorrow: @cloverHUB).

How to celebrate tomato season

Tender now on the menu

About a year and a half ago, at an open-to-the-public food development meeting at Clover, we blind taste-tested a new plant-based pulled pork. This wasn’t a totally new thing for us to do—as a company with a climate mission, we tend to get a lot of samples of plant-based everything, and we love trying all of them. We’ve tried mycelium-based mushroom meats, wheat-and-soy nuggets, and burgers made from kelp. One bite in, and it was clear this pulled pork was special.

Squeaky paneer, mint cilantro chutney, chaat, and our first-ever collab with a local chef. Remember when Pushpir came into the kitchen and schooled us on Northern Indian food? That was 2013.
