This Saturday was kids day at the restaurant.
I wasn’t sure we would be able to pull off animal pancakes. I got a bunch of metal cookie cutters (horse, dog, swan, clover leaf, and this one which I think is an elephant), then put our pancake batter in a squeeze bottle. We put down a bit of butter on the griddle so it just sizzled, put the cookie cutters down, and squeezed the batter inside. Hat (resident griddle expert) turned the griddle over to Alisa (new hire) for the whole kids brunch, and she did an awesome job making animal pancakes and normal pancakes all morning.
We had a bunch of families stopping by with their kids, if you did, let us know what you thought.
