You might have met Derek this morning. We were thrilled to have him up from Plymouth to launch Speedwell coffee at Clover. We’ve been seeing lots of Derek lately. He recently sold us a new (large) coffee brewer for catering over at the HUB and came up to calibrate it.
We’re running a Peruvian coffee. It has a medium body, with a very well balanced flavor on your palate. I would say that the acidity is in the forefront, but it doesn’t overpower. There also is a nice floral aroma quality to the cup that is very pleasing. You can find this everywhere starting today. $2/cup, $15 for a bag to take home. Derek also left us a few other coffees, including an Ethiopian and a Nicaraguan. If you missed the tasting, you can ask for them over at the MIT truck while they last.
