We’re finding ways to work winter vegetables this time of year. Today we made turnip apple soup. If you had it, let us know what you thought.
The turnips are purple-top turnips grown by Michael Docter at Winter Moon Roots Farm in the Pioneer Valley and they’re just beautiful. If you’re one of the 40 lucky customers subscribing to the Winter CSA, I don’t have to tell you how flavorful these roots are.
We’re offering a Summer CSA from Winter Moon’s sister farm, Next Barn Over. Check out the Farmshare tab to sign up, or stop by Meet the Farmer Night on 3/28.
