Early on in Clover’s history, we had an idea to park at Farmers Markets and make salad straight from the market produce. We’ve gone far, far beyond that goal, but it’s still a fun idea.
This is Freita’s fruit stand at the Greenway Open Market. Every Market Day, Vincenzo (DWY manager) heads to the market, buys a couple of quarts of fruit from whatever stand has the tastiest stuff, and makes agua fresca right on board the truck.
He’s also been experimenting making chocolate mint lemonade with mint grown right on the Greenway in their demonstration garden. Have you tried it? What do you think?
