Oh no – 2 of our favorite items are leaving the menu! One classic (Bridgewater) and one new this year (Carrot Lox). We are sorry in advance, but the good news is they’re leaving to make room for a very special ingredient that only comes into season in deep winter. It starts with the letter S if you want to guess…
In the meantime, stop by today (2/27) at lunch/dinner and tomorrow (2/28) at breakfast and lunch for:
1. The Bridgewater Sandwich & Platter. Fried crimini mushrooms that we glaze with honey-sriracha sauce, whipped cream cheese & jalapeño spread, frost-sweetened kale with thinly sliced red onions. As Michael (an SCL at Clover in the Harvard Science Center) says, “Something happens when we close the pita and the warmth of the bread hits the cream cheese spread and the glaze on the mushrooms – it turns it into a spicy, sweet, creamy sauce.”
2. The Carrot Lox Breakfast Sandwich — totally new this year, this sandwich launched a thousand curse words (as in holy s#$% that’s good).
This past Friday, I bought one for Enzo (of pizza pop-up fame) and he said it was the best Clover breakfast sandwich he has ever had in the past decade! It features smoky carrot lox we make in-house from Winter Moon Roots carrots; everything bagel spice; salty/juicy capers; and a little bit of mayo sauce. If you’re not able to make it out to a Clover tomorrow for breakfast, here’s a video on how to make carrot lox for yourself at home.
Hope you get a chance to try these before they leave! Have fun in the snow tomorrow.
