Greenway shoes

The Greenway brought us into Boston, the first 4 wheeled food truck in Boston in 20+ years at that point in time. That was 2010.

Back then few knew what the “Greenway” was if you mentioned it in conversation. And nobody (including me) had heard of Dewey Square. It wasn’t even that long ago.

One of our first promising employees on the Dewey Truck (@cloverDWY) was Sandy. And now, 2 years later, Sandy is running the truck at DWY. He’s been doing an amazing job there this summer. We thought he’d enjoy these shoes. Even before the pickled veggie shoes we’ve been having fun with footwear at Clover, and occasionally recognizing our employees with gifts for their feet.

Hope you all like these shoes. You can look for them at DWY. Sandy’s the guy with a beard.

How to celebrate tomato season

We had no idea what the word Panelle meant when a customer first told us about it ten years ago. This customer grew up in Sicily, the triangular island south of mainland Italy. Tender now on the menu

About a year and a half ago, at an open-to-the-public food development meeting at Clover, we blind taste-tested a new plant-based pulled pork. This wasn’t a totally new thing for us to do—as a company with a climate mission, we tend to get a lot of samples of plant-based everything, and we love trying all of them. We’ve tried mycelium-based mushroom meats, wheat-and-soy nuggets, and burgers made from kelp. One bite in, and it was clear this pulled pork was special.

Squeaky paneer, mint cilantro chutney, chaat, and our first-ever collab with a local chef. Remember when Pushpir came into the kitchen and schooled us on Northern Indian food? That was 2013.
