Continuing in our Clover tradition we had another round of free cupcakes today. This time to celebrate Jeremiah’s birthday. This time around: our first ever vegan cupcake. And my ugly frosting jobs are becoming something of a trademark. But oh do they taste good. These were a chocolate cake based on a recipe my grandmother used to call wacky cake, topped with a vegan mint frosting.

Those of you who haven’t been following this, here’s the deal:

– We don’t do daily desserts (you don’t need sugar with lunch every day do you?)

– When you come to work for us you give us your birthday, and on that day (or near that day) we make cupcakes

– Cupcakes are free while supplies last.

– We don’t announce them before hand, but if you come by for breakfast often you have a distinct advantage
