So many of you are new to us. That’s the whole point right? Why we add new locations etc. We want to get to know you.
One of the things you might not know about Clover if you’re in the new camp is that we’re always changing. Expect the menu to change, but also the operations, the messaging, etc. Hopefully we’re moving down the path of progress, but we’re not shy about a mistake here or there.
There is a huge backlog of posts, including a proper tour of the restaurant, and a summary of last minute work/ issues, and the opening day, and what all of this means for the trucks. In the meantime I wanted to share with you our first project for the Harvard Square store.
The ivy arrived today. And I know, because some of you have told me, that it’s not a native plant. But I can’t resist. We’re in Harvard Square! I don’t know of any place on earth with more ivy. It’s a symbolic nod to the neighborhood.
We have no idea what we’re doing here. Instead of hiring a professional, we decided to design and take this system on ourselves (with help from SSD, our architects). We’re hoping it works.
Want to know a secret? If you look closely at that scaffolding on the wall, it spells out the C from the Clover logo. We hope it’s subtle but identifiable once the ivy is grown in. I have no idea how long that will be. Maybe a very very long time. ?
