See that hat? LJ’s been with us through a lot. I’ve even had customers comment about it.

When you come to work for us you get a uniform: a hat, a T-shirt, and a pair of Levis’ no-wash jeans. When I was working for Burger King and Panera I didn’t like the fact that I had to buy my own uniforms. So we buy your first uniform for you. I don’t know if we’ll be able to keep this up forever, but for now Clover buys new employees their first uniform. Additional stuff (T-shirts, hats, etc.) are sold to employees at cost.

Back to LJ. This hat was scuffed when LJ nearly knockedhimself out on the MIT truck. There’s a famous design mistake on that truck that’s given many of us headaches. The rear doors are cut down to make room for a window. This means if you don’t duck when you’re walking out BONK. LJ hit it one day and tumbled to the ground outside the truck and scuffed up his hat. It’s been looking like this for a long time.

Chris was feeling a little sorry for LJ, given that his hat got mushed by the fall and all, so he decided LJ gets a second hat for free. Enjoy the hat LJ.
