I’ve been sitting in on our weekly General Manager meetings when I can.
The other day I listened while Jasper, our Director of Restaurant Operations, spoke with passion about how important it is that we set staff schedules 2 weeks in advance and try to do everything we can to stick to the schedules.
It was a simple thing but it touched me. Jasper spoke with emphasis and emotion. He has worked at restaurants that didn’t respect schedules. And he said it made him feel like he didn’t really matter that much at the end of the day.
I swelled with pride. What a great feeling to watch Jasper help mold a new set of leaders who will work to not only create efficient teams, but will lead with heart.
