Most of my ideas come to me when I’m not thinking. Like asleep, or spaced out. I don’t know what it says about me, or the ideas, but this one was awesome.
I woke up one morning a few months ago and thought: “we should buy breakfast for everybody who helps us out with feedback.” Feedback has been critical to Clover’s development since day one. Critical. Without it we’d be really bad, well at least not really great. You’d be eating from Ayr’s kitchen instead of Clover.
And since the beginning we’ve appreciated this. When somebody takes time to tell us something, positive or negative, it’s a gift. And we’re so thankful. Today we gather 30k+ points of feedback/ month.
So that was the idea. Once a month we have a thank you breakfast. I host. We invite everybody who gives feedback, through order takers, online, etc. And the past couple of months it has been really full. And it’s so rewarding. I love hearing everybody’s stories. Half the people are there because they said something really positive, and half are there because they had an idea for improvement. Sometimes they’ve expressed some frustration. And we’re so happy they did. And honored to have an opportunity to thank them.
It’s simple. It’s positive. It’s working so well, so we’re going to keep this up.
What feedback are you going to give to get invited to the next thank you breakfast? (and make Clover better)
